Different by Design.
Coaching that develops more than just  player.

Volleyball is the best sport in the world! I first touched a volleyball in my freshman year of high school, and we all know that's really late for most. I had one coach who took me under her wing and truly believed in me. Thanks to Coach Amanda's support plus my drive, I earned a full D1 ride as a 5'5, 6 rotation outside hitter.

Many athletes do not have the same story. They have coaches telling them "no" more than "yes," and I am here to change that. I coach beyond the limits of height, position, or comfort zones. With 15+ years of experience, I’ve learned that real growth comes from developing the whole athlete's skill set, confidence, and love for the game.

My approach challenges traditional molds, pushing athletes to think differently, train smarter, and compete with purpose. Volleyball is more than a sport, it’s a path to becoming stronger both on and off the court, building resilience, leadership, and a love for the process of growth.

When effort doesn’t match results, it’s time for a change!

Parents often ask, “Is my athlete actually improving?” Athletes wonder, “Why am I not getting any better?” Hours in the gym turn into the repeated mistakes, the repetitive feedback, and no real change. Confidence slips, progress feels invisible, and game-day performance stalls.

Families pour in time and money, athletes grind through endless reps, but it feels like effort isn’t matching results. This cycle leads to plateaus, frustration, and burnout.

That’s where I come in. My coaching turns hard work into real progress. Before: athletes repeat errors, second-guess themselves, and feel stuck. After: they step on the court confident, sharper, and prepared, with visible improvement! Every session is designed to break old patterns, apply feedback the right way, and unlock steady, measurable growth.

Clear Differentiation from the Competition
Where other programs can feel transactional, the approach creates athletes who think smarter, play with purpose, and are prepared for every level of the game.

Why invest in private or small-group sessions if my athlete already has team practices?
Team practices focus on systems and team play, which leaves little time for individual growth. My sessions zero in on your athlete’s personal needs, giving them more reps, specific corrections, and confidence they can immediately bring back to their team.

Will my athlete really get attention in a small group?
Yes. I intentionally keep groups small (3–6 athletes) so every player gets individualized coaching. The group setting also adds competition, energy, and game-like pressure, things you can’t always replicate one-on-one.

What if my athlete feels behind compared to others in the group?
Every athlete starts at a different level, and my job is to meet them where they are. In fact, training with athletes who are slightly more advanced often accelerates learning, while I ensure no one is overlooked.

Do we have to be affiliated with a certain club to train with you?
Absolutely not. Athletes and parents should feel comfortable knowing my lessons are open to players from any school or club. Training is about your athlete’s growth, not about club affiliation.

Isn’t private coaching expensive compared to just sticking with club or school?
Parents and athletes often see the big returns here. Athletes make noticeable improvements faster, which means more playing time, less frustration, and when the goal is college, greater opportunities down the line.

How soon will we see results?
Most athletes see progress within the first few sessions because each practice ends with clear, actionable takeaways. Parents frequently say they notice their athlete playing more confidently and effectively right away.

What if the schedule doesn’t fit with ours?
I update availability regularly, and you can always check back for new times. If nothing works, just email me at CoachKimadamsvb@gmail.com. I do my best to accommodate families so athletes don’t miss out on training.

Where do you run your lessons?
I currently run lessons in Delaware and will soon be expanding to the Washington, D.C. area and nearby cities. If you’re interested, email me at CoachKimadamsvb@gmail.com.
